Basketball Recap: Bay Takes a Loss

It was a proper cat-fight when Bay took on Quitman on Friday. The Tigers lost to the Panthers on the road by a 59-42 margin. The Tigers were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Panthers apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in December of 2024.

Despite the loss, Bay still got an impressive performance from Anthony Robinson, who posted 22 points. Robinson's evening made it five games in a row in which he has scored at least 22 points. Jaxon Meranto was another key player, putting up seven points.

Bay dropped their record down to 4-6 with the defeat, which was their fifth straight on the road. As for Quitman, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 7-2.

Bay wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 55-51 loss against Christian Collegiate Academy on the 6th. As for Quitman, they are taking a road trip to take on Heidelberg at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Panthers' defense better be ready for this one: the Oilers have averaged an impressive 53.2 points per game this season.
