Baseball Recap: Fall River Takes a Loss

Fall River was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They came up short against the Cambria-Friesland Hilltoppers, falling 17-7. That's two games in a row now that the Pirates have lost by exactly ten runs.

Fall River got a big performance out of Dominick Ravanelli, who went 1-for-3 with three stolen bases, two RBI, and one double. That double was Ravanelli's first of the season. The team also got some help courtesy of Ethan Stai, who went 2-for-3 with one run, one double, and one RBI.

Fall River's loss dropped their record down to 1-6. As for Cambria-Friesland, they now have a winning record of 4-3.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Fall River will host Cambridge at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Cambria-Friesland, they will look to defend their home field on Monday against Hustisford at 5:00 p.m.
