Softball Recap: Tacony Academy Charter Gets the Win

Tacony Academy Charter won against Simon Gratz last Friday with 14 runs and they decided to stick to that run total again on Tuesday. The Lions beat Bodine by the very same score they won with in their prior game: 14-11. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Lions.

Aubryella Thomas was a standout: she scored four runs and stole five bases while going 2-for-3. Those four runs gave her a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Aniya Askins-Pinkney, who scored two runs and stole four bases while going 3-for-4.

Tacony Academy Charter now has a winning record of 2-1. As for Bodine, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 2-2.

Tacony Academy Charter didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 15-5 victory against Olney on the 3rd. As for Bodine, they will square off against Simon Gratz at 3:15 p.m. on Tuesday.
