Softball Recap: Springboro Wins Going Away Against Bishop Fenwick

On Thursday, the Springboro Panthers made easy work of the Bishop Fenwick Falcons and carried off a 19-5 win. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Panthers.

Bella Breen was a major factor no matter where she played. On the mound, she pitched three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. Breen was also solid in the batter's box, scoring a run while going 2-for-3.

In other pitching news, Katie Jonas looked comfortable as she pitched one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. That's the fewest hits she has allowed since back in April of 2024.

Back at the plate, Springboro got a massive performance out of Bella Miller, who went a perfect 4-for-4 with three runs, four RBI, and one double. Those four hits gave Miller a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Bri Schul, who went 2-for-3 with three runs, one triple, and two RBI.

Springboro always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .636. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Bishop Fenwick only posted an OBP of .462.

Springboro's record now sits at 2-0.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Springboro will venture away from home to take on Hamilton at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. As for Bishop Fenwick, they will hit the road for the first time this season to face off against Monroe at 4:15 p.m. on Friday.
