Recap: Union Cougars vs. Ogden Tigers
The Union Cougars fought the good fight in their overtime game against the Ogden Tigers on Tuesday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Tigers by a score of 53-51. Union was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Ogden apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in January.
Ruth Larsen went supernova for Ogden, dropping a double-double on 18 points and ten rebounds. It was the first time this season that Larsen scored 15 or more points. The team also got some help courtesy of Megan Beus, who scored seven points along with two steals.
This is the second loss in a row for Union and nudges their season record down to 5-17. As for Ogden, the win makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 7-15.
Union does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Ogden, they will head out on the road to take on Grantsville at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. The timing is sure in Grantsville's favor as the team sits on seven straight wins at home while Ogden has been banged up by three consecutive losses on the road.
