Football Recap: Ludlowe Comes Up Short in High-Profile Contest with Wilton

Ludlowe faced Wilton in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Saturday. The Falcons took a 35-23 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Warriors. The Falcons were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Warriors apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in November of 2024.

Despite the loss, Ludlowe still got an impressive performance from Liam Bond, who rushed for 61 yards and three touchdowns, and also picked up 41 receiving yards.

Charlie Calabrese had another great game (as he tends to do), rushing for 81 yards and a pair of TDs, while also throwing for 118 yards and one touchdown for Wilton.

Having lost for the first time this season, Ludlowe fell to 3-1. As for Wilton, the victory keeps them at an undefeated 4-0.

Ludlowe has already played their next contest, a 35-34 win against Norwalk on the 10th. As for Wilton, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, a 41-7 victory against Staples on the 10th.
