Football Recap: Liberty Union Skates Past Meigs with Ease

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against North Union, Liberty Union was happy to have turned things around on Friday. They breezed past the Meigs Marauders to the tune of 56-21. The matchup was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 36-15.

Cooper Meachem threw for 54 yards and one touchdown. Cooper Manson was his top target, picking up 54 receiving yards and one TD.

Liberty Union now has a winning record of 2-1. As for Meigs, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 0-3.

Liberty Union has already played their next game, a 41-7 victory against Lakewood on the 12th. As for Meigs, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next contest, a 36-6 win against Vinton County on the 12th.
