Volleyball Recap: Phillipsburg Takes a Loss

Phillipsburg was the 2-0 winner over Norton when they last played one another last Saturday, but their luck changed this time around. The Panthers fell just short of the Bluejays by a score of 2-1 on Saturday. The Panthers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.

In an exciting match in which no team claimed back-to-back wins, Phillipsburg sadly wound up on the wrong side. The final score came out to 25-7, 16-25, 25-15.

Norton found their leader in sophomore Halle Pfannenstiel, who had ten digs. Pfannenstiel is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had ten or more in each of the last three games she's played.

Phillipsburg's loss dropped their record down to 12-18. As for Norton, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 18-11.

Phillipsburg has already played their next match, a 2-0 victory against Trego on the 11th. As for Norton, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 2-0 defeat against Thomas More Prep-Marian on the 11th.
