Schroon Lake entered their tilt with Keene Central on Friday with three consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with four. They narrowly escaped with a victory as the team sidled past the Keene Central Beavers 60-57. That's more bragging rights for the Wildcats, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Several Beavers players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Asa Sprague, who went 6 of 10 en route to 16 points. Brayden Harmer was another key player, going 6 for 9 on his way to 12 points.

Schroon Lake has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six games, which provided a nice bump to their 9-3 record this season. As for Keene Central, with the loss, they broke their three-game winning streak and moved their record to 8-4.
