Softball Recap: Monroe Now 6-2 over Last Eight Games

Monroe never let their opponents score on Friday. They put the hurt on the Skyline Eagles with a sharp 18-0 victory. The result was nothing new for the Trojans, who have now won five games by eight runs or more so far this season.

Monroe has been performing well recently as they've won six of their last eight matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 8-6 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.0 runs over those games. As for Skyline, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-6.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Monroe will challenge rival Saline at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. Meanwhile, Skyline is set to face off against their familiar foe Pioneer at 4:00 p.m. on Monday.
