Recap: Brennan Bears vs. Warren Warriors

The Brennan Bears had already won 13 in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 31.8 points), and they went ahead and made it 14 on Tuesday. They strolled past Warren with points to spare, taking the game 45-28. Given Brennan's advantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 15th, while Warren is ranked 279th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Brennan to victory, but perhaps none more so than Taylor Ross, who scored ten points along with eight rebounds and four steals. Ross has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last 14 times she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Tiara Louis, who scored nine points along with six rebounds and five steals.

Several Warriors players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Briseis Garcia, who scored 12 points.

Brennan pushed their record up to 25-3 with that win, which was their ninth straight on the road. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 60.3 points per game. As for Warren, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four games, which put a noticeable dent in their 14-15 record this season.

Brennan will be playing at home against Stevens at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Hopefully Brennan focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up ten on Tuesday. As for Warren, they will head out on the road to take on O'Connor at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Hopefully O'Connor focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 22 last Friday.
