Soccer Game Preview: J.P. McCaskey vs. Penn Manor

The J.P. McCaskey Red Tornado are taking a road trip to challenge the Penn Manor Comets at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. J.P. McCaskey will be strutting in after a win while Penn Manor will be coming in after a loss.

J.P. McCaskey took a loss when they played away from home on Saturday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Monday. They walked away with a 3-1 victory over Cedar Crest. The score was all tied up 1-1 at the break, but J.P. McCaskey were the better team in the second half.

Meanwhile, Penn Manor fell victim to Warwick and their airtight defense on Monday. They came up short against the Warriors, falling 3-0. While losing is never fun, Penn Manor can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania soccer rankings (they are ranked 232nd, while Warwick are ranked 15th).

The win got J.P. McCaskey back to even at 7-7. As for Penn Manor, their defeat was their fourth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 5-8-2.

J.P. McCaskey took their victory against Penn Manor in their previous matchup two weeks ago by a conclusive 4-1 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Red Tornado since the squad won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
