Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Clovis). They blew past the Lovington Wildcats 72-50 on Tuesday. Clovis has seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw Lovington, too.

Several Wildcats players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Justin Villalobos, who posted eight points and seven rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Elijah Rivero, who went 5 of 8 on his way to 12 points.

Clovis' victory bumped their record up to 2-3. As for Lovington, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-2.

Clovis will face off against Hope Christian at 1:15 p.m. on Thursday. Clovis has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last four games. As for Lovington, they will square off against Chaparral at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
