Volleyball Recap: Tuesday's Win Is Elm Creek's Fourth in Last Five Outings

Elm Creek won the last time they faced St. Patrick and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Buffaloes walked away with a 3-1 win over the Irish.

Elm Creek had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next three. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 21-25, 25-22, 25-18, 25-17.

Elm Creek found their leader in freshman Reece Steiner, who had 32 digs and two aces. Those 32 digs set a new season-high mark for Steiner.

Elm Creek is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 16-11 record this season. As for St. Patrick's, they have been struggling recently as they've lost eight of their last nine matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 11-19 record this season.

Elm Creek will take on Sandy Creek at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. St. Patrick's does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
