Basketball Recap: Denison-Schleswig Takes a Loss

Denison-Schleswig was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their eighth straight loss. They were dealt a 66-35 defeat at the hands of the Shenandoah Mustangs. While losing is never fun, the Monarchs can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Iowa basketball rankings (they are ranked 279th, while the Mustangs are ranked 44th).

Denison-Schleswig's loss dropped their record down to 2-14. As for Shenandoah, the win (which was their 11th in a row) raised their record to 17-2.

Denison-Schleswig didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 65-45 defeat against Storm Lake on the 4th. Shenandoah has also already played their next game, a 62-13 victory against Jefferson on the 3rd.
