The Key West Conchs will face off against the Eustis Panthers at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Key West is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.6 runs per game this season.
Key West's hitters will try to repeat the strong performance they gave on Saturday, when they got past Miami's usually-dominant pitching crew. The Conchs walked away with an 11-8 victory over the Stingarees. The Conchs haven't had any issues with the Stingarees recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive win against them.
Vinny Moline looked comfortable as he tossed four innings while giving up three earned (and one unearned) runs off four hits.

At the plate, Caden Pichardo was incredible, going 3-for-4 with three RBI, two runs, and one triple. Those three hits gave him a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Nelson Ong, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 2-for-3.
Key West was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .429. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Miami only posted a batting average of .231.
Meanwhile, Eustis was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost a 6-5 heartbreaker at the hands of Leesburg.
Andrew Walker made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and scored two runs while going 2-for-3. Jacob Lucroy was another key player, going 1-for-2 with two RBI and one double.
Key West pushed their record up to 14-9 with the victory, which was their third straight at home. Those home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 14.0 runs over those games. As for Eustis, their defeat dropped their record down to 12-9.
Key West came up short against Eustis when the teams last played back in April of 2024, falling 5-1. Can the Conchs avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
