Recap: West Clermont Wolves vs. Turpin Spartans
The West Clermont Wolves had to start their season on the road on Friday, and it wasn't the start they were hoping for. They fell 62-54 to Turpin. West Clermont has not had much luck with Turpin recently, as the team's come up short the last six times they've met.
West Clermont's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Jaden Brock-Sanderfer, who scored 17 points along with 6 rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Cameron Strause, who scored 8 points along with 10 rebounds and 3 blocks.
West Clermont's defeat dropped their record down to 0-1. As for Turpin, their win bumped their record up to 1-0.
West Clermont will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Lebanon at 7:30 p.m. As for Turpin, they will head out on the road to face off against Walnut Hills at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
