Volleyball Recap: Chicago Mathematics & Science Takes a Loss

Chicago Mathematics & Science didn't have quite enough to beat the Horizon Science Academy-Southwest Huskies on Wednesday and fell 2-1. While Chicago Mathematics & Science didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating Horizon Science Academy-Southwest 25-17 in the first set.

Chicago Mathematics & Science couldn't get the win, but they sure gave Horizon Science Academy-Southwest a tough time in the third set. The match finished with set scores of 17-25, 25-13, 31-29.

Chicago Mathematics & Science's loss ended a three-match streak of away wins and brought them to 7-5. As for Horizon Science Academy-Southwest, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 19-5.

The two teams are set to take part in some playoff action in their next matches. Chicago Mathematics & Science will square off against Elgin at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Horizon Science Academy-Southwest, they will face off against Tilden at 5:00 p.m. on Friday.
