Softball Recap: Ahoskie Christian Wins Going Away Against Suffolk Christian Academy

Ahoskie Christian won against New Life Christian Academy last Tuesday with 16 runs and they decided to stick to that run total again on Thursday. Ahoskie Christian blew past the Suffolk Christian Academy Knights 16-2. Considering Ahoskie Christian has won four matchups by more than nine runs this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.

Kinsley Dunlow made a splash while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run and allowed only one hit while striking out six over five innings pitched. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than two walks in three consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, scoring a run while going 1-for-3. What's more, she posted three RBI, the most she's had since back in April of 2024.

In other batting news, Ahoskie Christian got a massive performance out of Casey Piland, who went 2-for-4 with two runs, one triple, and two RBI. Myah Bradley was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing two bases while going 1-for-3.

Ahoskie Christian's victory ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 5-4. As for Suffolk Christian Academy, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-1.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Ahoskie Christian will head out to take on Community Christian at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Suffolk Christian Academy, they will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Ahoskie Christian at 4:00 p.m. on April 8.
