Basketball Recap: Lewis Takes a Loss

Lewis was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their tenth straight defeat. They were dealt a 55-13 loss at the hands of the Edison Eagles. While losing is never fun, the Lancers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Virginia basketball rankings (they are ranked 286th, while the Eagles are ranked 24th).

Lewis' defeat dropped their record down to 4-10. As for Edison, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won nine of their last ten contests, which provided a nice bump to their 12-2 record this season.

When Lewis and Edison next hit the court, they'll be up against teams who recently just can't seem to lose. Lewis will face off against Hayfield and their five-game winning streak at 7:15 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Edison will try to stop Thomas Jefferson Science & Technology's three-game winning streak when the meet at 7:15 p.m. on Friday.
