The home team had won the previous five meetings between Richland and Chiawana, and Richland kept the tradition alive. The Bombers put the hurt on the Riverhawks with a sharp 14-1 win on Friday. The result was nothing new for the Bombers, who have now won nine matchups by six runs or more so far this season.

Richland pushed their record up to 12-4 with the victory, which was their sixth straight at home. The home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.0 runs over those games. As for Chiawana, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 10-8.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Richland will take on rival Kamiakin at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Bombers 3.7, the Braves 2.4) so any runs scored will be well earned. Meanwhile, Chiawana is set to square off against their familiar foe Kennewick at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
