Western Reserve had lost three games at home, but after bumping their record up to 6-5 on Wednesday that streak is in the rearview. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the New London Wildcats, sneaking past 14-13. 14 seems to be a good number for the Roughriders as the squad scooped up a victory with the same number of runs in their previous game.

As for New London, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-10. The game snapped a strange streak: the last six times these teams have met, it?s been the away team that?s taken home the W.

For New London's part, Jarrett Mencl made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went a perfect 2-for-2 with two runs and two RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Keith Squire, who went 2-for-4 with one stolen base, one run, and one double.

Coming up, Western Reserve will square off against Mapleton at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. As for New London, they are taking a road trip to face off against St. Mary Central Catholic at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
