Volleyball Recap: D.C. Everest's Luck Changes for the Better on Thursday

D.C. Everest's game on Tuesday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Thursday. They came out on top against the Wisconsin Rapids Lincoln Red Raiders by a score of 3-1. The win was a breath of fresh air for the Evergreens as it put an end to their three-match losing streak.

D.C. Everest had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next three. The match finished with set scores of 22-25, 25-16, 25-13, 25-20.

D.C. Everest had a senior duo take command as Lilly Peterson had 15 digs and three aces and Hailey Vang had 12 digs and two assists. Those three aces set a new season-high mark for Peterson.

D.C. Everest was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 12 aces. That's the most aces they've posted since back in August.

D.C. Everest's victory was their first in the conference, bumping their conference record up to 1-3 and their overall record up to 8-11. As for Wisconsin Rapids Lincoln, their loss was their fifth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 5-15.

D.C. Everest didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 2-0 win against Appleton West on the 27th. As for Wisconsin Rapids Lincoln, they have also already played their next contest, a 2-1 defeat against Northland Pines on the 27th.
