Jayden Ortiz Turns in Season-Best Performance

Wheeler was led to victory by Jayden Ortiz, who turned in his biggest game of the season on Friday. Ortiz rushed for 188 yards and four touchdowns while picking up 8.5 yards per carry. Thanks to that strong showing, he's now averaging 2.1 rushing touchdowns per game. That's the most rushing yards he has posted since back in October of 2023.

If history really does repeat itself, Ortiz might just drop another big game when he faces off against Whiting on Friday. Ortiz rushed for 125 yards and two touchdowns on only 15 carries the last time he and the Oilers duked it out back in October of 2023.
