Poca and Clay County are an even 3-3 against one another since March of 2015, but likely not for long. The Dots will venture away from home to challenge the Panthers at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Poca has given up an average of 15.1 runs per game this season, but Thursday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Poca fell victim to St. Joseph Central and their airtight pitching crew on Wednesday. They lost 16-0 to the Irish. That's two games in a row now that the Dots have lost by exactly 16 runs.

Meanwhile, Clay County got the win against Braxton County on Tuesday by a conclusive 10-3. The Panthers might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won three matches by seven runs or more this season.

This is the second loss in a row for Poca and nudges their season record down to 2-10. As for Clay County, their win ended a four-game drought at home and bumped them up to 3-5.

Everything went Poca's way against Clay County in their previous meeting back in April of 2019, as Poca made off with a 9-3 victory. Will the Dots repeat their success, or do the Panthers have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
