Volleyball Recap: Navasota Comes Up Short

Navasota had lost five straight at home, but on Friday they dropped down to 19-18 to make it six. They lost 3-0 to the Caldwell Hornets. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Hornets this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-0 back in September.

As for Caldwell, they are on a roll lately: they've won ten of their last 12 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 20-23 record this season. The home team had taken home the W every time these teams have met since October 15, 2019, but that streak is no more.

Natalie Eastepp was a one-woman wrecking crew as she had 25 digs and two assists. That's the most digs she has posted since back in August.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Navasota will challenge rival Giddings at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Caldwell is set to take on their familiar foe Bellville at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
