Le Mars's game on Thursday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Friday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Storm Lake Tornadoes, sneaking past 4-3. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Bulldogs have posted since July 3, 2024.

Le Mars' victory bumped their record up to 7-3. As for Storm Lake, their loss was their first of the season and makes their record 6-1.

Coming up, Le Mars is taking a road trip to square off against Lincoln at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Bulldogs are facing the Lynx at the right time seeing as the Lynx are stuck on a five-game losing streak. As for Storm Lake, they didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 7-5 defeat against Denison-Schleswig on the 7th.
