Basketball Recap: Rank Disadvantage No Problem for Delhi

On Monday, the Delhi Hawks beat the St. Frederick Warriors 66-57. The victory was all the more spectacular given the Hawks' disadvantage in MaxPreps' basketball rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked 1210th in California, while the Warriors are ranked 188th in Louisiana).

Delhi is also on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matchups, which provided a massive bump to their 10-12 record this season. As for St. Frederick, with the defeat, they broke their three-game winning streak and moved their record to 15-9.

Delhi will face off against Le Grand at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The timing is sure in Delhi's favor as the squad sits on four straight wins at home while Le Grand has been banged up by eight consecutive losses on the road. As for St. Frederick, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 66-57 loss against Delhi on the 27th.
