Football Recap: Kofa Comes Up Short

It's never fun to lose, and it's even less fun to lose 49-14, which was the final score in the Kofa Kings's tilt against the Lake Havasu Knights on Friday. The contest marked the Kings' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Tripp Burke continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines for Lake Havasu, throwing for 218 yards and six touchdowns while completing 73.9% of his passes, and also rushing for 68 yards on only five carries. Those six passing touchdowns gave Burke a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Luke Johnson, who picked up 66 receiving yards and three scores.

Kofa now has a losing record of 2-3. As for Lake Havasu, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 4-1.
