Basketball Recap: Newark Takes a Loss

Despite a phenomenal run in the regular season, Newark couldn't carry that success into this playoff game. They fell to the Upper Arlington Golden Bears 49-44. If the Wildcats were looking for revenge after losing 61-38 to the Wildcats when the teams met back in March of 2022, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Newark's defeat dropped their record down to 19-5. As for Upper Arlington, their victory bumped their record up to 14-9.

Newark does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Upper Arlington, they will square off against Olentangy Liberty at 8:00 p.m. on Thursday. Upper Arlington will be up against Olentangy Liberty's rather soft defense (which has allowed 49.65 points per match), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
