Basketball Recap: White's Falls to Emmanuel Christian in First Game of Season

White had to hit the road for their first game and it wasn't the result they were hoping for. They lost to the Emmanuel Christian Eagles on the road by a 86-68 margin on Tuesday. The Warriors were down 73-47 at the end of the third quarter, which was just too much to recover from.

Leading Emmanuel Christian to victory were Zion McKnight and Zander McKnight. Zion dropped a double-double with 29 points and ten steals, while Zander dropped a double-double with 30 points and ten boards. The matchup was Zion's third in a row with at least 27 points. Another player making a difference was George Erickson, who posted 13 points and eight rebounds.

Emmanuel Christian will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Harlan Christian at 6:00 p.m. on the 21st. White's will be paying especially close attention to the Eagles' game: after the Eagles face off against Cornerstone Baptist Academy, they'll take on White's again at 6:00 p.m. on January 13, 2026.
