Basketball Recap: Sterling Heights Comes Up Short

Sterling Heights was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their ninth straight loss dating back to last season. The matchup between them and the Cousino Patriots didn't end well, with the Sterling Heights Stallions falling 66-49. The Stallions were probably out for revenge after losing 70-52 to them when the teams met back in February, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Among those leading the charge was Nicholas Farr, who went 7 of 13 on his way to 16 points. His evening made it three games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Kaden Underwood, who posted seven points and three steals.

Sterling Heights' defeat dropped their record down to 0-6. As for Cousino, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 2-1.

Sterling Heights wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 90-66 loss against Center Line on the 17th. As for Cousino, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 64-48 victory against Richmond on the 14th.
