Football Game Preview: North Kingstown Skippers vs. Barrington Eagles + How To Watch

North Kingstown has gone a perfect 5-0 against Barrington recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Friday. The Skippers will face off against the Eagles at 6:15 p.m. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (North Kingstown has five straight wins, Barrington has three straight defeats), but none of that matters once you're on the field.

North Kingstown is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of Rhode Island's top teams: Burrillville, who was ranked 14th at the time (North Kingstown was ranked third). The Skippers simply couldn't be stopped on Saturday as they easily beat the Broncos 49-12. The matchup marked the Skippers' most dominant victory of the season.

It was another big night for Nickolas Stafford, who rushed for 163 yards and three scores on only 14 carries. His rushing production has been exceptional recently as that marked his fourth straight game with at least 132 rushing yards. Jack Diano was another key player, throwing for 181 yards and a pair of touchdowns while completing 90.9% of his passes.

They were just one part of a punishing run game: North Kingstown was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 295 rushing yards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now rushed for at least 198 rushing yards in five consecutive contests.

On the other side of the ball, a lot of the credit has to go to North Kingstown's defense and their four sacks. The heavy lifting was done by Tali Watson and Chris Ciarniello, who racked up all four sacks between them.

Meanwhile, it was a Battle of the Birds when Barrington faced off against Cranston West on Friday. The Eagles took a 14-7 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Falcons.

Barrington's loss dropped their record down to 2-4. As for North Kingstown, their win bumped their record up to 5-1.

North Kingstown was able to grind out a solid victory over Barrington in their previous meeting back in October of 2024, winning 28-21. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Skippers since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
