The Weiss Wolves will head out on the road to challenge the Hendrickson Hawks at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Weiss is coming into the game hot, having won their last three games.
Weiss made up a huge gap compared to their last game against Elgin, but they still couldn't quite topple them. Weiss blew past Elgin 15-1 on Friday. That 14 run margin sets a new team best for the Wolves this season.
Aubrey Santos made a big impact while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she tossed five innings while giving up just one earned run off three hits. The dominant performance also gave her a new career-low in walks (zero). She was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-2 with one triple, one run, and one RBI.

In other batting news, Jordynn Booe was incredible, scoring four runs and stealing a base while going 3-for-4. That's the most runs she has posted over her last 11 contests. Aliyah Herrera was another key player, going 1-for-3 with two runs, one triple, and one stolen base.
Weiss was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .440. That's the best batting average they've posted all season.
The home team had won the previous three meetings between Hendrickson and Elgin, and Elgin kept the tradition alive. Hendrickson lost 9-3 to Elgin on Tuesday.
Zoey Kellam made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-4 with one triple, one run, and one double. That double was her first of the season. Another player making a difference was Cadence Garcia, who got on base in two of her four plate appearances with four stolen bases.
Hendrickson dropped their record down to 7-5-1 with the loss, which was their third straight on the road. As for Weiss, their record now sits at 8-5.
Tuesday's matchup will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Weiss hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .329. However, it's not like Hendrickson struggles in that department as they've averaged .330. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Everything went Weiss' way against Hendrickson when the teams last played back in February of 2023, as Weiss made off with a 15-0 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for Weiss since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
