Softball Preview: Altamont Longhorns vs. Monticello Buckaroo

The Altamont Longhorns will head out on the road to square off against the Monticello Buckaroo at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Altamont unfortunately witnessed the end of their five-game winning streak last Thursday. They fell just short of South Summit by a score of 5-4. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest runs Altamont has scored all season.

Meanwhile, sadly, Monticello is still looking for their first win of the season after six matchups. They fell victim to a tough 17-1 loss at the hands of Grand County on Thursday.

Monticello saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Madi Snyder, who scored a run while going 1-for-1.

Altamont's defeat ended a four-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 7-2. As for Monticello, their loss dropped their record down to 0-6.
