Softball Recap: Northwest Webster Comes Up Short

It was a proper cat-fight when Northwest Webster duked it out with Southeast Valley on Friday. The Cougars came up short against the Jaguars, falling 11-4. The Cougars were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Jaguars apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in June of 2024.

This is the second loss in a row for Northwest Webster and nudges their season record down to 1-3. As for Southeast Valley, with the win, they broke their three-game losing streak and moved their record to 5-4.

Coming up, Northwest Webster will take on South Central Calhoun at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. The Cougars are facing the Titans at the right time seeing as the Titans are stuck on a six-game losing streak. As for Southeast Valley, they will challenge West Bend-Mallard at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. The Wolverines have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 11.6 runs per game on average), something the Jaguars will no doubt try to take advantage of.
