James Wood strolled into their game on Saturday with a perfect record and they left with the same. They walked away with a 2-0 victory over the Flint Hill Huskies. The Colonels were shut out 2-0 the last time they took on the Huskies, so the Colonels were just returning the favor.

James Wood easily took the first set, but they let things get interesting in the other. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-14, 25-18.

Brenna Corbin paced James Wood's offense, picking up 11 kills. Corbin got some help from Bella Middleton and her eight assists. Finally, Claire Keefer kept James Wood's defense grounded, leading the team with three blocks.

James Wood's win bumped their record up to 10-0. As for Flint Hill, their loss ended a seven-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 2-2.

Coincidentally, James Wood and Flint Hill will both be playing Bishop McNamara the next time they take the court. The Colonels will head out to face the Mustangs at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, while the Huskies will play them later in the day, at 1:00 p.m.
