Softball Recap: Bay Shore Takes a Loss

Bay Shore was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss dating back to last season. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost a 4-3 heartbreaker at the hands of the Walt Whitman Wildcats. The Marauders were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Wildcats apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in May of 2023.

Bay Shore's loss dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Walt Whitman, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 5-2.

Coming up, Walt Whitman will look to defend their home field on Monday against Sachem North at 4:00 p.m. Bay Shore will be paying especially close attention to the Wildcats' match: after the Wildcats faces off against Connetquot, they'll take on Bay Shore again at 4:00 p.m. on the 28th.
