Baseball Recap: Winona Comes Up Short

Winona was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They fell 13-10 to the Columbus Falcons. The Tigers were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Falcons apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in February of 2024.

Winona now has a losing record of 5-6. As for Columbus, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven matchups. That's provided a massive bump to their 7-9 record this season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. A feisty cat fight will be fought as Winona Tigers duke it out with Yazoo County Panthers at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Columbus, they are taking a road trip to face off against Warren Central at 5:00 p.m. on Friday.
