Volleyball Recap: Midlothian's Undefeated Season over After 17 Games

Midlothian suffered their biggest defeat since November 16, 2024 on Monday. They came up short against the St. Catherine's Saints, falling 3-0. The loss continues a trend for the Trojans in their meetings with the Saints: they've now lost three in a row.

The final score came out to 25-15, 25-21, 25-13.

St. Catherine's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Bailey Loving led the charge by getting 12 digs and three aces. Loving has been hot, having posted 12 or more digs the last eight times she's played. Carlee Mullins was another key player, getting eight digs and three aces.

Having lost for the first time this season, Midlothian fell to 16-1. As for St. Catherine's, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 13-12.

Midlothian wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 3-1 victory against Cosby on the 21st. As for St. Catherine's, they have also already played their next match, a 3-1 win against Glen Allen on the 22nd.
