Recap: Smith Academy Fighting 54th vs. Anderson Prep Academy Jets
If the Smith Academy Fighting 54th were riding high off their 55-20 takedown of Pierceton Woods Academy last Wednesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. Smith Academy had to suffer through a rough 65-16 loss at the hands of Anderson Prep Academy. Having soared to a lofty 55 points in the game before, Smith Academy couldn't push the score so high this time.
Anderson Prep Academy's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Camron Anderson, who scored 13 points along with six assists and six rebounds. Anderson hasn't dropped below two steals for three straight games. Lincoln Fathauer was another key contributor, scoring 12 points along with six assists and four steals.
Smith Academy has traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost six of their last seven games, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-9 record this season. As for Anderson Prep Academy, their win ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 3-10.
Smith Academy will take on Trinity at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Hopefully Trinity focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up nine on Tuesday. As for Anderson Prep Academy, they will head out on the road to square off against Morristown at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday.
