Football Game Preview: Mountain View Vikings vs. El Monte Lions

Mountain View hasn't had much luck against El Monte recently, but that could start to change on Thursday. The Vikings will square off against the Lions at 7:00 p.m. After the two teams made easy work of their previous opponents, one won't be so lucky on Thursday.

Mountain View played in-conference for the first time on Friday and got just the result they were looking for. They breezed past Marshall to the tune of 41-13. The Vikings haven't had any issues with the Eagles recently, as the game was their third consecutive victory against them.

Meanwhile, it was a proper cat-fight when El Monte duked it out with Rosemead on Friday. The Lions blew past the Panthers 42-7. Considering the Lions have won five games by more than 33 points this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

Mountain View now has a winning record of 4-3. As for El Monte, their win bumped their record up to 5-2.

Mountain View was taken down by El Monte 56-12 when the teams last played back in November of 2024. That contest was all but decided by halftime, at which point the Vikings were down 34-6.
