Crossroads Christian managed a 63-58 victory over Cape Fear Christian Academy. This was payback for Crossroads Christian, who suffered a 66-57 loss the last time these two teams met.
Crossroads Christian got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Nik Brown out in front who scored 19 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Brown has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Brodrick Jenkins, who dropped a double-double on 16 points and ten rebounds.
Crossroads Christian's victory was their eighth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 16-5. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 74.3 points per game. As for Cape Fear Christian Academy, their loss dropped their record down to 11-10.
Crossroads Christian will head out on the road to take on New Garden Friends at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. New Garden Friends knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with flashy point totals in its past four matches -- so hopefully Crossroads Christian likes a good challenge. As for Cape Fear Christian Academy, they will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against North Raleigh Christian Academy at 6:00 p.m. North Raleigh Christian Academy is coming into the matchup on a three-game losing streak.
