Basketball Recap: Manawa Comes Up Short

Manawa was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They lost to the Almond-Bancroft Eagles at home by a 54-40 margin. The Wolves were not able to make up for their loss to the Eagles from their previous meeting back in February of 2024.

Manawa's defeat dropped their record down to 6-12. As for Almond-Bancroft, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 14-5.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Manawa will venture away from home to take on Menominee Indian at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Almond-Bancroft, they will take on Wild Rose at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Almond-Bancroft is facing Wild Rose at the right time seeing as Wild Rose is stuck on a four-game losing streak.
