Baseball Recap: Paw Paw Extends Home Winning Streak to 14

While Paw Paw's win against Sturgis wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Red Wolves had just enough and edged out the Trojans 4-2. The victory continues a trend for the Red Wolves in their matchups with the Trojans: they've now won four in a row.

Landon Buhl was excellent, going 1-for-3 with two stolen bases and two runs. Another player making a difference was Ryan Holmes, who got on base in two of his four plate appearances with one stolen base and one run.

Paw Paw hit smart and finished the game with only one strikeout. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Sturgis struck out 12 times.

Paw Paw pushed their record up to 17-5 with the win, which was their 14th straight at home. The home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.2 runs over those games. As for Sturgis, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-14.
