Basketball Recap: Noga Kohavi's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Kehillah over University Prep Academy

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Kehillah can now relate to. They fell just short of the University Prep Academy Golden Eagles by a score of 50-48 on Friday. The matchup was a 28-28 toss-up at halftime, but the Rams couldn't quite close it out.

Several Rams players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Noga Kohavi, who posted 22 points and three steals. Another player making a difference was Ariella Sheppard, who earned 18 points and three steals.

Even though they lost, Kehillah was working as a unit and finished the game with ten assists. That's a new trend for them: they were averaging 5.4 assists per game earlier this season, but in their last 15 contests they've averaged 9.6.

Kehillah's defeat dropped their record down to 14-3. As for University Prep Academy, their win bumped their record up to 10-11.

Kehillah does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for University Prep Academy, they won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Pacific Collegiate at 5:00 p.m. on Saturday.
