Basketball Recap: Springer Falls Short of Kiowa in the Playoffs

Springer and Kiowa squared off in some playoff action on Thursday, but Springer had to settle for second. They took a blow against the Kiowa Cowboys, falling 72-34. The Cardinals just can't catch a break and have now endured four losses in a row.

Several Cardinals players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Lexie Harrell, who posted 20 points. That was a full 58.8% of Springer's points, marking the sixth time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points. Another player making a difference was Journey Parkhill, who had ten points.

Springer's defeat dropped their record down to 4-20. As for Kiowa, their win was their eighth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 16-5.

As of now, neither Springer nor Kiowa have any future games scheduled.
