Basketball Game Preview: Robbinsville Black Knights vs. Cherokee Braves

Robbinsville and Cherokee are an even 5-5 against one another since January of 2020, but not for long. The Robbinsville Black Knights just played yesterday, but they'll still head out to face the Cherokee Braves at 8:00 p.m. on Friday. Robbinsville knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past five matches -- so hopefully Cherokee likes a good challenge.

On Thursday, Robbinsville humbled Highlands with a 60-17 victory. The Black Knights have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won seven contests by 25 points or more this season.

Meanwhile, Cherokee came up short against Murphy on Tuesday and fell 72-61.

Robbinsville's win bumped their record up to 8-5. As for Cherokee, their loss was their first in the conference, dropping their conference record down to 3-1 and their overall record down to 5-4.

Robbinsville came up short against Cherokee in their previous matchup back in February of 2024, falling 74-68. Can Robbinsville avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
