The Cloverdale Clovers will welcome the Tindley Tigers at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Cloverdale will be strutting in after a victory while Tindley will be coming in after a loss.
Cloverdale is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Friday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Clinton Central 42-14. The high-scoring effort was just what the Clovers needed considering they were shut out in their previous game.

It was another big night for Keshaun Taylor, who rushed for 158 yards and four scores. He has become a key player for Cloverdale: the team is 5-2 when he posts at least two rushing touchdowns, but 1-2 otherwise.
Taylor was just one part of a punishing run game: Cloverdale was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 270 rushing yards. The Clovers are a perfect 6-0 when they've run for more than 200 yards.
Meanwhile, Tindley was not able to break out of their rough patch two weeks ago as the team picked up their seventh straight defeat. They took a 22-12 hit to the loss column at the hands of Indianapolis Washington.
Although Tindley took the loss, they still got scores from Ty Yarrell and Isaiah Goober.
Even if they lost, Tindley's defense still kept up the pressure with four sacks. Sebastian Gomez refused to say out of the backfield, picking up two sacks all by himself. Yarrell got in on the action too, converting a pick into a touchdown.
Cloverdale has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 6-4 record this season. The team dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 47.8 points. As for Tindley, their loss dropped their record down to 1-7.
Friday's matchup might be decided in the trenches. Cloverdale has been excellent on the ground this season, having averaged 191.8 rushing yards per game. It's a different story for Tindley, though, as they've been averaging only 37.1 rushing yards. How will they fare against such a dominant running game?
Everything came up roses for Cloverdale against Tindley in their previous meeting back in November of 2024, as the squad secured a 34-6 win. Do the Clovers have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Tigers turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
