Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Newsome walked away with it. They put the hurt on the Palm Harbor University Hurricanes with a sharp  3-0 win on Wednesday. Winning may never get old, but the Wolves sure are getting used to it with their seventh in a row.
 Newsome was especially dominant in the second set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-17, 25-14,  25-18.
  Natalie Kappaz was nothing short of spectacular: she  had eight  digs and four  aces. That's the most  digs  she has posted since back in September.  Izabella Ruiz was another key player,  getting 11  digs and two  assists.
Newsome's victory bumped their record up to 19-4. As for Palm Harbor University, their defeat  ended  a  four-match streak of away wins  and  brought them to 19-8.
 Looking ahead, Newsome will venture away from home to  square off against Winter Haven  at 2:00  p.m.  on Saturday. Palm Harbor University does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
